Presentations

Imposter Syndrome, Art, and the Longing to Create

Weaving together her own writing journey with art featured in her book Beneath the Swirling Sky (by artists Vincent van Gogh and Rembrandt) Carolyn inspires students to confront imposter syndrome, take a closer look at art, and to nurture the longing to create inside each of us.

Best for students 3rd-6th grade

Time: 40-45 minutes, including 10-15 minutes Q/A

Libraries, The Wild West, and Needing Things Just So

Students will engage with the text of Library’s Most Wanted, consider why libraries are more about people than books, and learn some Wild West Words. The presentation will include a read aloud and a short Q/A.

Best for students Kinder-3rd grade

Time: 30-40 minutes with read aloud and Q/A

I’m offering a limited number of free virtual visits to book clubs and single classrooms. These are designed to be 20 minute Q/A sessions, and will assume that most or all participants have read the book.
